Kamalu Chika

Chika is a seasoned, experienced and professional Violinist who began his career in playing the Violin about 17 years ago.
After attending music education in the University of Nigeria, he went further to do a study in Violin and Orchestra in Brazil, and a study with the British Counsel on Music education. He attained other short certifications such as: Grade 5 Certification in Music theory from the Music Society of Nigeria, a Coursera certification in music composition and production.
His vast knowledge of the craft has earned him membership of organizations including the Três  Lagoas City Orchestra group, the Star plus band, amongst others.
Some of Chika’s popular compositions include: A song you know, Deep Black, Mindless Love, Lost in my dreams, Illusion, amongst others. His other projects are: A classical Violin cover for John Legend’s All of me, recorded a sound-track for a Cartoon network in Los Angeles U.S.A., did composition and arrangement for string orchestra in Brazil, composed, recorded and produced a sound-track for TV Montage,  and many other  sound tracks for video documentaries ,worked on a violin composition for an academic project; recorded and produced an album for a classical choir, at the University of Abuja.
He has also been featured to play the Violin in live studio recording sections with several Gospel artists including Steve Crown.
Chika made his first live performance about 9 years ago.
Since then, he had played at high level events both home and abroad.
Some of these events include: The 2015 presidential inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari, the wedding of the son of ex-President, Musa Yaradua, two-times chief Violinist at the Abuja national festival of praise, which had the Vice President Yemi Osibanjo in attendance, TEDx talk at Asokoro. He has also played at the Embassies of the following countries: Liberia, Germany, Ireland etc.
His dexterity in playing the instrument earned him the opportunity to play for several events and concerts in Brazil, including the Tres Lagoas City Orchestra concert which was sponsored by the Brazilian Government.
At the current stage of his career, Chika has work on music projects in Brazil, the United States, and Nigeria.
Right now, he is on a mission to reinventing the use and feel of the Violin through violin education in Nigeria and various parts of the world.
